Bearbrick Moon 1000%

The Bearbrick Moon 10 Grey is the Moon entry in Medicom Toy’s planet-themed BE@RBRICK program, released September 1, 2019 at $700, confirmed by Hypegrounds as the second release in the planet series following an earlier Earth entry, with the Moon BE@RBRICK taking form in the planet’s color, a white-grey that the retailer described as absolutely stunning to look at as it portrays not only the planet’s color but also the texture on the Moon’s surface. Medicom Toy’s BE@RBRICK planet series applies the visual characteristics of celestial bodies to the 1000% figure’s 70 centimeter surface, translating astronomical texture and color into the BE@RBRICK format to create collectibles that merge the scientific visual vocabulary of planetary photography with the designer toy and fine art collectible tradition that BE@RBRICK has inhabited since its founding in 2001. The Moon’s grey-white coloring with surface texture detailing references the lunar surface’s specific combination of grey regolith, crater pockmarks, and the visual appearance established by decades of moon photography from both the Earth and from lunar orbit, creating a collectible whose grey coloring provides an understated and formally precise alternative to the more vividly colored and more pop-culture-referencing BE@RBRICK releases in the program’s lineup. The “10” in the product name designation refers to the 1000% scale of the BE@RBRICK rather than any percentage formatting, with the full-scale Moon 1000% figure standing at the standard 70 centimeter height. Released September 1, 2019 at $700.The Bearbrick Moon 10 Grey is the 2019 planet series 1000% BE@RBRICK for the Medicom Toy collector who wants the surface-texture lunar surface grey-white coloring of the Moon translated into the 70 cm BE@RBRICK format as the second entry in the celestial body series. The Bearbrick Moon 10 Grey was released on September 1, 2019 with a retail price of $700.
