With the Nike Air Max 1 Time Warp, the world-renowned sneaker company offers an alternate reality where iconic aspects of the Air Force 1 are worked into the design of the Air Max 1, thus creating a new sneaker identity. The Nike Air Max 1 Time Warp is an overall white sneaker. The upper features a base of tumbled white leather with the signature perforations in the toe box and on the side panel above the foxing. White laces cross over a white mesh tongue, and this closure is further secured by a gray textile strap across the arch of the foot. Overlays in matching white leather cover the upper, while the side panel Nike Swoosh is formed from gray leather. A sail-colored foam midsole houses visible Air beneath the heel and rests atop a white rubber outsole with heritage waffle lugs. What we find most delightful about this shoe is the branding on the white insoles: warped clock graphics in black emphasize the distortion of space and time that inspired this sneaker design.
