The Nike Field General Union LA Black is a collaboration between the iconic sneaker company and a Los Angeles high-end boutique, carrying multiple labels of distinctive street wear for men. This sneaker takes a 1980’s football training shoe silhouette and revamps it as a modern-day life-style pair of kicks. This low-top sneaker starts with a base of black mesh overlaid with black suede at the toe cap, eyestays, and heel. Black leather forms the side-panel Nike Swoosh, as well as the collar and a vamp overlay. Orange deco stitching on the upper matches the Union LA branding tag on a lateral eyestays. The dark sail reinforced toe and heel blend into the cupsole with embossed Nike branding. The sail outsole with rubber waffle cleats completes this shoe. The stand-out detail of this sneaker we most appreciate is the Sky Blue webbing with a reflective stripe that runs across the collar and forms a pull tab at the heel to ease on and off.
