The Pikachu Yellow Cheeks 1st Edition Base Set 58/102 Pokémon card is the second Pikachu card ever produced in the English Base Set. Initially, the card was printed with Mitsuhiro Arita’s original artwork that featured Pikachu with red cheeks, but Wizards of the Coast later changed Pikachu’s cheeks to yellow as others felt they better complimented the yellow lightning bolts that Pikachu emits. This Pikachu card features a 1st Edition stamp below the left-hand corner of the art panel, and the right side of the art panel appears to be flat against the back of the card. The Pikachu Yellow Cheeks 1st Edition Base Set 58/102 is part of the 102 card Base Set that also includes cards for Charizard, Blastoise, Mewtwo, and more.
